War Party takes the Win in El Rino Ok 2020
Your support and contributions will enable us to continue to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission to carry on the War Party Tradition
It's been a couple weeks since the War Party Rides On team went to the SDBA Showdown in San Angelo, TX.
It was a grueling 3 weeks before the race. The team did amazing things (as usual) in that short time frame.
The boat was gone over with a fine tooth comb, capsule out and inspected, v-drive serviced, strut and rudder removed, crack checked, and re installed, boat flipped over, bottom touched up and re speed coated, and everything re assembled. Engine assembled with a new crank, new rings and bearings, and new CP Pistons. Peterbilt serviced with DOT annual inspection(thank you Steve and Caleb Brady) painted by Jeff Quigley of Quigley's Custom Colors, and truck and trailer got it's usual wax and polish by Hook's Marine Detailing.
This was our first race back after losing our team owner and leader Nancy Davis. It was very emotional for the crew and our friends and fans. We are thankful for all of the kind words and encouragment from everyone at the race.
It was great to be back at the Dragbaoat Races with our racing family. We couldn't have made it without the help of great friends. Thank you Mike Griffith/RFC, Racers Emergency Support Program, Justin "Stewy" Stuard, DSM/Madness NFC, Mike Isham, Rick Holden, Jeff Quigley, Hook, Beverly/Dragboat Review, Caleb Brady, Steve Brady, Nancy Stacks, Sam and Cheryl Stacks, Strait Stacks, Stacy Smith, Andy Campbell, Brian Campbell, Mike Vigil, Jennifer at the San Angelo Hampton Inn, David Carrol and all of the great SDBA staff.
We hope to see everyone in a few weeks in Wheatland.
