On March 1st 2020 War Party Racing and the Drag Boat Racing community sadly lost one of its greatest icons. Nancy Davis
Nancy Davis left this earth to be with her Savior and to re unite with her husband Jerry. She left behind a reputation of kindness, friendship, charity and inspiration.
Nancy also left behind a legacy of being one of the most passionate, dedicated hard core Drag boat racers (man or woman) known to the sport.
After Jerry’s passing from cancer in 2010, Nancy continued her involvement in boat racing with attending races representing RESP and also became a part of a Top Fuel Team. Along with RESP responsibilities and being a part of the fuel team, Nancy’s goal was to put War Party Top Alcohol Flat back in competition.
In 2015 the" War Party Rides On" racing team was formed and Nancy's vision to race in honor of Jerry's legacy was born.
The team's core mission was to honor Jerry’s legacy, and Nancy’s reputation and love for the sport, to learn, be fast, be safe, and most of all, enjoy the greatest sport, and the greatest people and have fun doing so.
War Party, will indeed, ride on. Nancy made her wishes very clear to the War Party Team and that was to continue for as long as we could and that’s what Team War Party plans to do. And so, begins the new chapter in a long and successful history of War Party TAF 556.
We, her crew, were chosen to continue Her and Jerry's legacy. We do not and will not take that task lightly. Our mission remains the same.
We thank everyone who has been a part of the War Party journey, and look forward to making Jerry and Nancy and all of our fans Proud. We thank you for your continued interest in our Team and look forward to seeing you all very soon at the Races.
Bless each and every one of you.
